My wife & the Tesoro Sidewinder uMax

Yesterday I decided to take my wife and son to the park. I said I want to run to Walmart for a minute and my wife said drop me & Adam (our son) off at the park while you run to Walmart. She said get me the detector out of the trunk and I will use it while you are gone. I came back in about 20 minutes and asked her "did ya find anything" - she said ya look at this. I said what is that!! she said a Japanese or a Chinese coin. Glad she found it and not me because I would of tossed it, it looks just like a kids button off a shirt. It is about twice the size of a pencil eraser with a square hole in the middle of it, dated 1909-1911 on one side & Chinese or Japanese writing on the other side. Not only does my new to me Tesoro Sidewinder uMax sniff out U.S. coins now it is after Japanese one's too. I love this machine but my wife has to stop showing me up with it. Steve.

P.S. The picture is not the actual coin she found but looks just like it, I found the picture searching the web.

I sold one to a buddy of mine and his wife recently found a Rectangle CS plate about 6 months ago...... They are very good machines. Hopefully she'll keep intrested in the hobby and you'll have a fun detecting partner!

We have been detecting together for almost 20 years, she loves detecting as much as I do. A great family hobby and the Sidewinder is a keeper for sure. Steve.

My wife won't give it a try.

I don't know why most women don't detect. Tell your wife a fella from New York dares her to give it a try, tell her it is all right to play in the dirt. Steve.

My wife has been 3 times. She took a nap at one. I think the other 2 maybe 2 hours total, Beale.
