My wheat to silver ratio is KILLIN me!

Man... I don't know what it is about my area but seriously all the yards we've been hitting lately are chalk full of wheats. We're getting about 30:1 on the silver to wheat ratio. Soooo frustrating. Oh well. Had a blast and dug some great stuff. Managed a 1925 D merc and a cool 1925 luggage tag? Or fob? I dunno. Also found that cool old lock and a knife.

Same for me. I'm digging a ton of wheats. I'm finding that the CTX hits on deep copper a lot harder than deep silver. Everything was 6 to 9 inches deep. The nickel gave me really strange reading but I dug them anyway.

Tones try and find a house that had teenagers in the mid fifty's those yards are always good for a lot of silver . I had one small yard I did years ago and found 27 silver dimes and 1 quarter .The yard was 20 feet wide by 40 long just loaded and only found 6 wheat's there . sube

Brandon,sooner or later you will hit the yard with a 50/50 split. I've had three yards the first signal was a silver, and that was the only one I found. Don't know whats worse

Vt- that's pretty much how's it's been too. My first signal was the merc, then Dirt hit a buff and a 1916 merc (no D) then just wheats

I hammered the wheats 2 days in a row this weekend. 10 wheats to one silver yesterday and 14 wheats to one silver this afternoon.

You need to get on the richer side of town!! LOL. I'm running about 5:1 this year. Have 58 silver coins and 253 Wheats. Hmmm, I guess that's closer to 4:1. But anyway, today I got two silver dimes and 10 Wheats. So today was 5:1

Nice finds Doc, especially the 'tones' of the pictures. My wheat to silver since Jan 1, is 796 wheats to 108 silver. And Like Sube said, I concentrate on house demos in Houston that were built in the mid to late '40s. Good jobs, new homes and new war babies everywhere losing their coins.
