[attachment 151264 IMG_0396.JPG]getting ready to hunt unloading..[attachment 151263 IMG_0413.JPG]just some goodies i found at a beach this is my way to hunt ..on my Harley and at the beach, cheap on gas..the best of both worlds....its great to be in Fla...:clapping::minelab::thumbup:
everything i need i can haul in my tote trailer and pull behind my Harley..detectors, chairs, cooler, scooper's,anything else need for a day at the beach...

I'm *very* jealous. What a life. I bet you're retired too so every day is a potential hunting day? :ranting: Then there's the great beaches you have to hunt and the lack of the bitter winters we have up here in the Northeast.

yes retired air force, but still work everyday in my own cb shop...i try to take off,but i gotta still work as much as i can..
but when i play ill play hard..:clapping::minelab::detecting:

It'll be a long time before I can afford to live your life, let alone retire. Had to change careers and went to a HVAC school. Mostly involves electrical troubleshooting, schematics, sensor diagnostics, which I already had prior experience at so I got top grades. Problem is in this economy nobody wants to hire you in this field without experience. Still looking, but maybe some day I'll pull up next to you on my Harley.

Thats awesome! Your lucky to live in an area where you can just head out and go metal detecting at some good spots when you get the time. It's not so easy here in Iowa.

CB Shop owner...........I'M a Trucker and my General Lee CB just Screams The airways, I can probably talk to you from over here in Southern California...........:crylol:..... LOL ......Nice Ride you have there and Great Detector.

I'M real close to the Beach also and when I go Hunting for 4 hours after work It's sooooooo nice, just shut off The Cell phone (wife gets Mad) and just hunt until the Park Rangers kick me out........ like they say The worst day treasure hunting is better than the best day at work.

Nice Harley John,
Now thats the way to enjoy your retirement, your hobby and of course, your wheels..

I have had my xcal 2 for not quite a year yet and I loveeeee it..

I've heard people around here that visited Florida or other warm states complain that they wouldn't be able to put up with the heat. But then I hear people who visit here in winter complain that they wouldn't be able to put up with the cold. I've worked outside for about 16 years and the truth is after about two weeks you get acclimated (sp?) to the tempertures. Always takes me a few weeks to get used to the cold, or the same when the tempertures get hot. Most people just don't know how to dress for it. Still, I think I'd much rather put up with heat all the time than cold. Your body gets used to it. At least in a warmer state I could hunt year round. I've only been able to get out about twice in the last month due to the snow or frozen ground conditions. It's always motorcycle weather where you live too.

Ive been in Fla since 92 and i love it,I'm from Ohio so i know about those cold non riding days..it takes about 18 mos to get used to the weather here, and the tax advantages here are great too..and yes i ride all year,we only have about 2-3 weeks of really cold weather where it ll frost at night then its over..ill head to a beach this weekend and ill ride there hunt all day and ride back home..its great..the best of both worlds...now remember bike week starts at end of Feb,so bring your scooter and your detectors...ride main st during night hunt the beaches during the day or mornings..see you all in daytona or at a beach..:detecting::clapping::minelab::thumbup:

Keep rubbing it in. :ranting: On the bright side, I think I just landed a job in HVAC. Comes with further specialized training so that's a big plus. Back on my way to the American dream, I hope.

G,day John,
CB radio was another one of my hobbies, but gave it up about 20yrs or so ago.
Just this Xmas I pulled it from mothball and stuck it in the Ute and fired it up.
Then I realised why I gave it up in the first place, Flamin' clowns swearing on it all the time, talking on the call channel etc etc etc.
Its a shame people don't have the respect for others out there.
So i'm a thinking going to UHF, maybe a little quieter.
BTW I like the setup you got there, A Harley with radio gear and a Tecta and to think some people think we are nerds.
Fresh air and the hunt for the unknown and a ride on a Harley WTG
HH and cheers
Brad..

well i took the harley out yesterday for a ride to the beach to hunt the low tide, and wow was i amazed at how many others was on the beach, you would have thought that a hunting contest was going on..there was only 4 of us locals and plenty of other guys ive never seen before was all over the beach..targets was at a huge premium yesterday, id hate to be in miami this week..or this weekend..
good luck to all
john

It's all us people from the north who can't take the cold weather anymore. I know cabin fever is killing me right now.
