Had a hard time justifying the purchase of a DX1 probe. I found a shop listed on the Sunray web site about thirty miles from my house. I could not find a web page for the shop. Gave them a call and they had two in stock and sells them for 170.95, 9 bucks cheaper than I found on-line. After work yesterday I drove to the shop, the sign out front said METAL DETECTORS, nothing else and the place looks really small. Small sign on the door says Whites dealer for 33 years. To my surprise I walk inside and the place is loaded with goodies. While I am waiting for the guy to retrieve the DX1 for me I started looking around and see three SUPER 12 coils hanging on the wall. I ask him how much he sell them for and he says 212.00. Anyway it was like being in a candy store and I said, I will take one of those too. I asked for their web site and the guy says they don't have one. They do not advertise or sell on-line. He says he does however do mail-orders because he has been in the same spot for so long that people that have moved away still call him for stuff and he ships it. Strange they have no web site because they literally have everything for Whites and Garrett's and after-market accessories. I sure am glad this shop is 30 miles away and not in my neighborhood. Now, if it would just stop raining for a few days I will be able to get out and use them.

Have a great 4th

You are going to love the DX-1. I have only had mine a short time and I would not be without it. Now I have to get one for my wife's MXT. HH Dennis in Idaho

Dennis couldn't have said it any better. I wouldn't be without mine either. In my humble opinion, everyone should have one if they can afford it. It's the perfect compliment to the MXT. Money well worth spent.

Glad you've got a shop close by. What town are you from? You could send some rain this way.

I'm in Mesquite just east of Dallas. The detector shop is in North Richland Hills just east of Fort Worth. It has rained everyday for two weeks now. People living along the Brazos river are getting washed away, literally. But all is good, the ground will be soft for awhile after it ends. The last two summers were droughts and the ground was hard as rocks. All the lakes were ten to 15 feet below normal so I did get some opportunities there. Quite a bit of jewelry and coins. Felt kind of strange detecting around the pylons to the boat docks.

Oh my!!! I knew they were getting lots of rain down there. When you're able to detect, the ground will be great digging. Good luck and stay dry!
