My Very First Finds!!!!

Hey Everybody! I spent a couple of hours detecting in my parents backyard last night! My finds might not be all that great to some, but considering it was my first hunt without my boyfriend's help, I feel like I hit a jackpot. Can't wait to get out there again and see what I find next!!! Thanks to everyone for your help and advice. Happy Hunting To All... Susan:clapping:

That's a good assortment of finds. All are good targets and deserve digging to see what they are. Next time could be the silver or gold your wanting ro find. Congratulations Susan

You did good !

Just wait till you snag your first ring you will be as hooked as the rest of us !

Clad is good !

Looks like you got a good start on your ammo collection too.

Cheers!

Almost dupes some of the stuff I've found. Looks like a
.45, a .357?, and two 22 shells.. I found one of
those water sprayers in the front yard the other day. It
was still good, even the gasket. Just totally clogged with
dirt..Washed it out, and pressed it back into service. :)
I've found 4 of those matchbox cars so far, but only two
were in decent shape. I found a yellow 70's corvette that
was rotted in half about like that red one.. It's weird..
The two oldest, a 61 and a 65, were in the best shape.

Congratulations!! You are doing as good or better than most of us at the start of a great hobby. I have a buddy with a Mine Lab Ex II that has had his machine for about two years and has only found 3 pennies so far. Keep up the digging, your doing great!

Way to go Susan!!!!
My first hunt , one of my Buddie's asked me to go metal detecting and I could borrow one of his machine's , and I said okay.
I walked around aimlessly for quite awhile and I hit a beep, I must have dug 10 inche's in the ground and out popped a 1925 Merc.
I then bought a used Bounty Hunter, and then bought an Ace 250.
Have been dreaming of many find's but it is to cold to dig here!
It is so fun!!!!!!!!!!
Many happy find's!!!!!

Good first hunt. Interesting all the bullet shells. I have yet to find any coins in my yard, lots of metal but not coins.

Yes Bill
He uses batteries but he has overlooked one small thing, He has not read the book yet! I would say that is like going to a place in China where no one spoke english and not knowing a word of chineese. You know there talking to you but you dont have a clue what there saying. I understand the Ex 2 is a good machine but without knowing what its saying Im sure its going to be tough to find anything.
Maybe he will make me a deal on it someday when he gets tired of the agrivation.
Having Fun

Well done Susan.
Thats a lot better than I did on my first hunts. It took me six hours before I found My first coin. As you put your thinking cap on you will make even better finds! Good to see you found yourself a set of wheels!!
Happy hunting.
Mick Evans.
