Its should be here by friday...I cant wait,,I had the DFX I hope that helps with the learning curve....Is the depth the same as the DFX or better?????
Any info guys ..Thanks Greg.......Hope to make new friends here..........!!!!!!

Depth is better. Depending on what your soil is like, possibly back off a bit on RX Gain (Pre-amp Gain) at first, and mess with setsitivities accordingly. Lots of places for me tend to let me run everything pretty wide open but even when I can't, depth is really decent. Other things: Learn the filtering settings after you started a good initial learning curve. The wireless headphones are so nice but keep your old ones for EMI situations. The High Pro program has punch and great stability. Sweep a little slower with this one. Don't short change single frequency, Get a 5.3 coil in your arsenal, and.....Enjoy the new toy! (This all is only some of the good initial points we have all learned and having a DFX in your past, does give you a good jumpstart!)

Plenty of good advise will be coming your way!

Do several copies of the manual for that matter. Keeping one in several spots from car to house does help. The Steve Howard "How to" videos are well done and have helped me a bunch also. Main thing is to get out and start treating it like you would your DFX. Once you get the interface down, Tons of the approach is like the DFX and it really is not that big of a transition at all. A lot more machine but easy to begin getting comfortable with. No substitute for coil to the dirt.

My v3 had its first outing last Friday on the wet sand..Didn't find a great deal as it isn't a good beach but picked up a dozen coins and a grotty child's ring..Not a lot but you certainly knew when it was a good signal..Machine ran very quiet on the wet sand but I have to say the meter was useless, I suspect mainly the amount of deep iron present , however audio was very good and i soon got use to it. I used the normal beach salt mode , unaltered except for reduction of threshold

Thanks for the info,I got the 4x6 shooter to and the 950 from my DFX it has V3 on it.I just put it together and i have to say nice no big whites box a little black one,I may need a little help from time to time,I had my DFX for about two years now i hope it helps....Thanks greg....
