My turn at 2008 January thaw finds.....

Hello one and all,

We've also had some unseasonably warm weather here the last few days. I've been busy with work and diligently trying to ignore the fact that the ground had thawed. Had a servo drive blow up and is on back order so decided to go play in the dirt today. Snowing and sleeting as I type and then colder so this might be it for awhile.

Made a huge snowman last snowstorm. Here are the remains.

Did some terrace trolling a few blocks from home. Only found four wheaties and a bunch of clad besides the silver shown. Seems like it had been detected before but strange what was left behind, no deeper stuff. Oh well, a half is always fun to find.

Nice stuff, that silver !
Great going Chris.

Nice to hear you are able to get out and try to do some detecting. We still have snow and very frozen ground, so it will be a while yet before James starts raping the area of silver again. He is awesome YET!!!, but you never know this year what will happen, might just find a wild women.
I may try a sledding hill and see if I can find some new coin drops and with a little luck some gold and silver lost while sledding if it starts getting a bit warmer.

They sure can cut into one's detecting time. Though I have seen a few couples that detect together.

Looking forward to spring; only three or four months to go.

Hope to get over your neck of the woods someday. Was supposed to go over for work a couple of times but never materialised.

In my case, it's the other way around :spin:

Very nice silver... that is a great day detecting :)

Chris,

I think the first thing James ask the girl is if she lives in a house in the older part of town before he will take her out, just so he can detect the yard first, you know just to see if it is worth coming over to her house plus if she has any other family living in a older house he can detect. Once he is done with the yard he kind of don't show up again. :crylol::crylol::crylol::crylol::crylol::crylol:

Maybe he has found one as I havent seen him around and not alot on the forums from him.

Hey there Rick and Chris! Haven't found a girlfriend, "yet", anyways. Been doing more and more Research. Going to try and swing out to your place Rick tonight. Good Luck and HH.

Good to see you were Lucky enough to be able to detect already. Too much Snow here for that to happen. But don't worry! It shouldn't take too long for me to catch up on the Silver Count in the Spring if my Luck is still with me. Nice Half by the way! Continued Success, Good Luck and HH.

Hello Epi-Hunter! Do you detect alot with the SE? I know the Minelabs are hard to put down after one gets to know them better and starts making a lot of great finds with them. Good to see woman on the Explorer Forum. Good Luck and HH in 2008.

I'm not only in it for the Old Coins fella's! You have to go out and play once in awhile. I just won't lose another Month of Detecting like last time, that's all! Good Luck and HH.:poke:
