When a small coil comes out for the T2 and works I think they will sell even more units. Even no a lot of users say the stock coil is one of the best coils they have ever used, there are a lot of guys that like small coils and are just waiting. I don't think a company makes a new detector and thinks it is going to make them all of their money back. It takes time to build new customers and we are all looking for something that lets us go back to hunted areas and find missed targets, like the T2!

The T2 is designed by one of the best designers out there. The hobby has suffered a lot in resent years. If you are new to the hobby, it is not that easy to go to a park or school or old sight and start pulling out keepers so a lot of people just give up.

The explorer and the dfx, are the most state of the art units out there. The dfx doesn't have great depth but each unit lets you tweak the units to your needs...Then it all stopped and we have seen good basic units come out that people can afford.

There are a lot of us that want something different now and a lot of people have said well that is about as far as we can go for now. Is it because companies don't have the money to make a top high end unit that helps us find more gold from trash?

I don't think that is the problem I do think that these big compaines just don't want to spend the money on something that they think will not make them money. Look at the new explorer a little faster but not any real advancement. They won't sell a lot, not for a grand.

Paul did a test on the T2 and new minelab and found the T2 did far better at a scrapped lot.

Anyway I will just sit back and see what the next detector won't do. I think some of these compaines should let some guys on this forum try out there new detectors to see what they think and not let there people make that judgement. We are the end user. We live all over the United States..different hunting, different ground.

Thanks

Hi Lawrenzo,

Good thread, I'm sure allot of us here are looking forward to seeing what comes out in the near future. I know I do.

If the T-2 does come out with a smaller coil, That's good for allot of users.....Not that the T-2 really needs one for separation but more for getting in-between the tight areas larger coils can't maneuver in, That's when I will use the smaller coil for detecting in areas the larger coil can't fit into. Otherwise, As good the stock coil gets on separation no need to go to a smaller coil for open trashy areas that are easily assessable to the large DD coil.

On that demo the other night, I new ahead of time the T-2 would get better separation over the SE. It's an area I've hunted before with different types of detectors and several of my friends used different detectors as well, So we new what worked best for this particular area.

Maybe I'll share a story on the site in the future, It's an amazing settlement and we pulled out allot of great finds from here last year, Nine of them seated.

Take care Lawrenzo,
Paul (Ca)
