I just read the White's Engineers interview. I bet the code name project V is an updated version of the 6000 series. Look at it this way.
The 1st of the 6000 series came out in the 1980's and it had a blue box. The 2nd version was the early 90's version which was all black and had the same body style as the Spectrum. 3rd you had a version called the 6000 Di PRO SL which was the body style of the newer slimline Spectrum, Then 4th you had the last model of the line which was just the straight up XL PRO.
ENTER CODE NAME V. the 5th version of the popular cult like following 6000 series.
