I bought the V3i because I'm dealing with cancer and trying to get to Stanford for a bone marrow transplant. I have been fighting cancer for almost five years now but it keeps coming back stronger to the point where the chemo is only keeping me in remission for a shorter period of time.
So to be honest I love the G2 fast, deep and great at relic hunting and great at unmasking iron. It love coins in any position and loves relics but sucks at the parks and schools....So why did I buy the V3i....Well why I am fighting this cancer I wanted to try this machine and see what it can do. I would love to match the G2 and then push the V3i to go beyond the G2. And from what I have read it may be able to do that. I can see you have the three freq and I don't mind the extra power if I put it all into one freq for maybe more depth. And I have read how you can change the filters..I guess from what I have read the lower the filter the slower you have to swing but you may get more depth but it also depends on the ground minerals less minerals and you can use a lower freq, higher minerals and you have to use a higher freq?
I have read so much on this forum but can't seem to find your info when I go into the menu of the V3i. One person said if you want to separate nickles from pull tabs you can make a change and it pushes nickles up on the VDI to about 59 can't find how to do that and then does it push all the VDI up so dimes would read higher and so forth.
I see the six blocks and the way to use that to program that seems easy to navigate...but from what I have read there is so much more and I am having a hard time finding that. I go into expert menue but the manual doesn't seem to help me understand what I can do there. And I want to create a new program and name it and save it..I am having a problem finding how to do that. I had a DFX years ago and it seemed the menu was a lot easier to navagate.
Anyway the machine seems really well built and I know one machine can't do it all so I am hoping the V3i will allow me to hit my hunted out areas and mayby pull out a few missed targets. Any input would be great.
