My take on metal detecting

I've been detecting for 4 years now with the GTI 2500 in RI (where I'm from),CT,and MA and it has been great! Being in the "ocean state" you'd think I'd spend alot of time at the beaches but I don't. I live in the Western part of RI so I spend alot of time out in the woods. There are over 100 cemetaries in Foster alone and it has numerous old houses and foundations. I really enjoy detecting on school grounds...90% of my gold and silver jewelry are found at schools. I've never had a hobby that I loved so much. So if any of you who read this are new to the hobby, don't be discouraged if you have a few bad trips out...time and patience is what should be mastered before your detector.

Yeah tou're dead right, if you don't have patience and persistence this ain't the hobby for you. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

You get the bear and some days he gets you. Its worth it all just for the exercise and outdoors...full pouch is nice also....
