My T2 sniffed out an 1842 dime last week....

i've been away for the weekend and too lazy to take a pic but i'll try and get one up this week, along with all the other recent finds...
That dime got a good smile out of me! It's the oldest coin i've found so far. I live in NW GA and there isn't much colonial stuff around here, in fact the land lots here were sold to settlers in the 1830s so this is about it without a lot of luck. The coin is in pretty good shape but is still worn so I assume it was dropped by a Civil War soldier as I find a lot of CW relics at this site.
as I have learned the T2 I have come to really love it.

WTG Julien,

You did good and you're going to love the T-2 even more, Outstanding find :clapping:

Congrats, Paul (Ca)

Julien,

Wow, congrats on the old find. When you post the pic, tell us your settings please. I bet the T2 hit relatively hard on that "small" dime? I've found some small, dime sized objects, and it seems to respond fairly well to them.

Keep it up,
Albert
