My T2 fried yesterday...

Phil

New member
several weeks ago I got my T2 back from the factory, I sent it in because of almost constant coil overload and very short battery life. When I got it back it was alot quieter with the new coil but the Tech told me he could find no other problem. Yesterday, I was getting ready to go out and turned the detector on to check the batteries. Almost immediately smoke came rolling out of the battery compartment. I guess my excessive power drain has finally showed itself. I'm calling Technetics monday to see what they will do. I'm not going to be happy if I have to shell out for shipping and insurance again in less than a month.

See if they'll send a pickup slip or something to pay for your shipping cost. That's not right to have to pay shipping again less than a month later.
