My T2 finds at DIV 5 in the worst ground you can imagine

Well after a while with the T2 and not much hunting time in I finally got to put it through the ringer. I have been spoiled here in Chesterfield, VA where the ground phase is around 60 to 70 and no FeO3 reading at all. This is the ground I have hunted in since 1973. Fast Forward to Diggin in VA 5 in Culpeper VA where the ground phase was 87 in places with a combination of FeO3 of 1 (not .1) It was one bar from the worst. With that said I hunted in all metal which is what almost everyone had to do unless you had a pi. I am excited to hear about the changes to the T2 and need to send mine in for an upgrade. Hope this picture posts. Note the tiny small items like cuff buttons and shoe eyelets found in the bad soil.

Great stuff Jerry and thanks for the info on the ground readings. Ground phase of 87!!!!!!!!! Very interesting and great hunting.

Very nice finds. I am glad to hear the T2 did a good job for you. I was out today and had a site that the ground phase was from 74-76. That was bad enough. I don't want to think about the 80's... ;)

I was there also and used my T2 and X-5 both about equally. So what did you find to be the "best" settings and what areas did you hunt? I noticed there were a few areas that were different from what seemed the norm of that bad ground. Sorry I missed ya at the hunt, it would have been nice to meet you and compare notes on the T2 at the site.

Hi Jerry,

Those are excellent finds there, You're going to love the T-2 for your type of hunting. It's an easy to learn detector for both serous and beginner users, I can see more positive feedback coming in the months ahead....Nothing will pry away my T-2 :)

Congrats, Paul

Great finds Jerry! Now where do I know you from? I used to live in Eugene, OR where I sold Minelab and Tesoro for a while. Previously (and now) I live in Hagerstown MD where I sold Teknetics and Bounty Hunter back around 1985.
