Besides providing you with personal satisfaction, as well as the benefactor of your good deed, it gives a positive public image of the hobby!
 
This is the side of detecting that we as detectorist accept as something we try to do but the general population does not often see that side of our Hobby. Congratulations to you Gary and plaudits to the paper which informed the community of your efforts!
 
Great story! I was down in hyde park this weekend for a wedding, too bad its too dry to dig anwhere!
