My Son wants some cheap headphones?

He can not afford much and since i bought his detector for him and it comes with a built in speaker I told him he has to buy his own head phones. I also bought his tools and some books etc..... If he gets a phono jack adapater would the in ear style ones from Sony work well? Even I am going to be useing some SOny head phones but with a head band. My Sony's have ear seals and produce absolutely beautiful sound. Is their any advantage to useing the ones sold by the big detector companies?

Calrad is about 20 bucks or so and thats all I use as only cheap in price and use them on expensive units..Most detector shops carry them...Full earcups, dual volume control,
mono-stereo switch and built to last...
