my sniper coil arrived, here is the first find...lol

man my dealer is quick! the sniper arrived today and I went into the front yard today for a couple minutes, the wind is strong and cold today. Anyways this little car was alongside my sidewalk and I ignored it before because the trash beside it gave it a bouncing signal. The sniper picked it out though. It was just a test run, I hope to get out tommorow and give it a better test.

Nice, welcome to the car club!!!! I think thats next on my list, the sniper coil.

I had that car when I was little...(almost 30 years ago) it came in a 10 pack, they were super cheap, I remember my mom buying them and making me clean my room before she would give them to me...
Anyway, post your comments on the Sniper as soon as you have a chance to try it out, I have been wanting to get one.

Nice find G4. I have one just like it only green. Your going to love that sniper, it's great for trash areas.

I am thinking how I am gonna hit some of the areas I have already been because I KNOW there is stuff I missed the sniper will get!

The car looks like a Lotus Europa. I always wanted one when I was younger. The real thing is only about 32 inches tall at the roof line. The sniper coil is my next purchase also.

Tip for sidewalk hunting.

First in all metal mode check for rebar in the concrete. If there is no reinforcement them hunt as usual. If you get iron beeps here's what to do. Hunt up to about a foot away from the concrete as usual. You are leaving a 12 inch strip along the sidewalks not detected. Then reduce the sensitivity to 1 or 2 bars. Then hunt the remaining 12 inches sweeping your coil slowly along the length of the sidewalk.

Yea, the lines didn't look quite right for the lotus...
But I didn't know what it was.
Once had a Lotus Europa for a while, but it didn't run.
I always wanted to do something weird like plant a small
GM V6 engine in the back, but we finally just sold it cuz
it just took up room in the garage. Too lazy to mess with it.
It did sit low.. Like being in a go-kart, with the interior somewhat
like a wood paneled british airplane.. :smoke:
You could always spot those from the rear due to the thin little
non sloped back window they had. The back deck was fairly level, not
sloped like that little car.
BTW, Goes4ever, that was fast... Seems like you were pondering one
like 2-3 days ago...??
It's a killer coil.. Maybe my favorite overall. It's a fun coil cuz you can
just hit the targets pop, pop, pop. Pretty fast to pinpoint and grab.
And it goes deep enough to get most average coins in the ground.

That coil can take 7 or 8 bars of power man! Crank it up and you'll be digging coins at 6 inches. Also if you put two swiggly white lines across the top it looks like a Hostess cupcake. Warning! Do not attempt to eat the coil!

yep everytime I order from this dealer I get super fast service, when I ordered my ace it took 2 days, ordered my pinpointer, took two days, ordered the sniper coil on tuesday morning, had it thursday morning. He is very reliable

Nice

sniper was excelent, too many bills let my sniper, and ace go for 150. found 60 cash gold ring 18k 925silver butterfly ring a few lockets a couple of bullets many tokens civil war medal old buttons and many more items had the ace for 6 months. new xt-70 haven't had the chance to get it out yet and haven't got my 6inch dd hf coil yet.

I am very, very new to detecting - bought a new Ace 250 kit awhile ago and have not been able to use it outside yet, with frost still in the ground and a foot of snow on top of it yet.

The Sniper coil came to my attention recently, and I am interested in getting one before summer. Do any of you have a source to purchase one at a reasonable price. There is a new one for sale as "Buy It Now" on eBay for $64 plus $6 shipping. Is that around fair market value, or can they be found more reasonably priced than that?

Thank you for your considerations.

Jonathan

Jonathan-

KellyCo has them for $64.95 + 9.95 shipping. I know that is about $4 more, but the guys (and gals) at KellyCo are great. Personally, I am more than willing to give an extra $4 for that kind of service. And by the way, I bought some other things from them and they threw in the coil cover for free!
