I went out for about 20 minutes today because it was so hot!!!!!!!! But it was okay, because on my second target, it was a 1899 dime!! And in good shape too!!!
 
Looks in mint condition. Nice find !!
 
still lookin for my first 1800 coin that ones like new great hot day find ive been hunting in the water on these hot days coins bikines and grand kids all good :beers:
 
What detector & coil were used, and where (the type of site, etc.) did you find it?

It looks like you were 'hotter' than the weather.

Thanks everyone!!! Monte, the coil I was using was the stock M6 coil. the site was an old homesite that dates back to the late 1880s. It is the same site that produce my first silver, a 1942 Mercury dime. I have also found a 1891 V nickle and 3 wheaties all in the 1940s range.
