My season wrap-up......

I'm done for this season. Checked the frost depth recently and it got drove in deep just like last year so I'm done til spring. First full season with the Etrac (March-Nov.) and ended up with 66 silver coins and a few firsts for me. Highlights were a Barber half (a 1st) I've waited for over 20 yrs to find, an 1862s seated dime I dug that was the first seated I've dug that didn't come from some sort of tearout or construction so that was also a first, and the main highlight was an 1842 Large cent (a 1st) that I dug as I NEVER EVER thought I'd dig one around here. The nickels (1887-1937) were also a big deal for me as I haven't dug any in yrs as I had them notched out on my old Tesoro. Towards the end of this season I started chasing them and glad I did! Pretty happy overall and luvin the Etrac. Looking forward to next yr and more experience with the etrac and hopefully more old coins!!!! Thanks to everyone for the excellant info and pics you guys share...it helps me a bunch!

Congratulations! Beautiful coins and write up! That was a solid year!:clapping::beers:

Congratulations on the great coins including that barber half and large cent. I am still waiting to find my first large cent.
Sounds like you had a fun year!

I'd agree that you had an outstanding year. Congratulations on all them firsts. Frost is about 3 week ahead of schedule (never kept track until I started detecting) here as well. Thanks for the pictures.

thanks for the words guys!!!

Ran the last of the clad/zinc (I keep the coppers) thru the coinstar and ended up with $231 for the yr. after the almost 10% hit. Also got 3 gold rings, 10-12(?) silver rings, toys, tokens, etc., etc. Hope everyone has a good weekend and thanks again........
