My results at a planted hunt

Sunday morning I and some member from my local club attended a planted hunt. The hunt hunt was put on and filmed by a fellow detectorist that has been trying to get a show started. I know that his show has been playing on a local TV channel. But since I have not got TV reception I can not pass on that information.
There were about 15-20 people whom had attended the hunt and it cost us all $25. But I think we all did well. and made our money back.
There was both clad and silver coins and some tokens to be found.
After about 30 minuets of hunting I had found.
1-Half dollar
10-quarters
2-silver quarters
18-dimes
3-silver Roosevelt dimes
4-mercury dimes
2 Indian head pennies
1 colored key that was a token
For the colored key I picked a numbered poker chip which gave me
a bag of teriyaki beef jerky
and a 1 gram .999 silver round that resembles a walking liberty coin in miniature.
For the hunt I chose the GB pro but used the 7x11 coil because I did not wish anybody to complain about the size of my clean sweep coil on my Tesoro golden umax being too big,
or having an unfair advantage.
As far as I could see everybody had a great time and did well.
We Even had an appearance Of The one and only Jim Straight at this hunt. He did well and was given a prize for being the oldest contestant.
I hope to see him at many more events.

My wife and I attend two well attended, planted hunts every year and really enjoy them. Rubbing elbows with other detectorists, the occasional prize token and being able to keep all the coins retrieved makes the effort fun and worthwhile. Over the years I've won 3 detectors, an 1886 10$ gold piece, a bunch of silver rounds and several 5$ gold pieces along with assorted pouches, diggers and headphones. I didn't think I'd care for this type of hunt when I went the first time, but it's turned out to be a couple of weekends we look forward to every year.

My wife and I belong to a club as well and every year they held a plated hunt, last year was our fist hunt and we did very good, this year we will be attending again and help on the event by voulntaring on the diferent boths the club has each year to rise more money for the following year.
It's a great event and we look forward to attend.
