Finally was able to get some deep Merc's, wheaties, and a Buffalo at a iron and nail infested older home I've hunted for months. Bought a Joey coil lowered my sen to 12 used all metal mode per these forums.

It's all starting to click.

here's a pic of today's finds and a pic of my 6 yr old hunting partner.

Hello Rick, Your feedback on the Joey coil is just what I have been looking for. I have been wanting to try a smaller sized coil and after some deliberation had settled on the Joey. I will get one very soon and hopefully find some good stuff that was masked by trash at a couple of sites I have hunted hard.

Some good finds. Good job. How deep would you estimate the deepest coin was?

The picture of your daughter holding the Quattro next to the finds is precious. Maybe she will become a treasure hunter. My daughter never took to it. Luckily my son did!

Thanks Mirage

The deepest was a merc at 7" I had never found a coin (only clad) below 4" at this site until this trip, very very trashy. Yes my little girl likes hunting as long as we find something ever so often.
She will get bored sometimes.

Who sells the Joey coil and how much. I just got my 5" excelerator but have not had a chance to use it.

Hi Black Davy

The Joey coil is made by Coiltek most Dealers sale them
or can order around $199 new and $140 -$180 used.

Hi Doug

I think the hole was 8"+ so I'll say about 7".
It was in the last scoop of dirt.
I had searched this 6 by 6 foot area in front of the front door
many many times with the stock coil but the joey found it first try.
