My Psychic Coin$trike Speaks to Me :lmfao:

I got out of work a bit early this afternoon :ninja:

This C$ must be Psychic .... just as I'm thinking of introducing it to the "bay" I find my first (ever) Mercury silver dime (1939) and my first ever (on my own) Wheaties. Three no less, even if two look crudded up, at least I know I'm in the right timezone to find silver.

I also found a gold colored religious medallion that I was praying was really gold when I unearthed it, but I guess the original owner didn't need that much religion, as it's not even gold plated.

Found a bunch of crudded up zincs, a Bicentennial quarter, a modern quarter, two dimes and a nickel.

Also a token that says "Awarded for Skill - Property of Machine" the back says "Good For One Free Game". I'm thinking this arcade token is probably from the 1970's....not sure, but I don't believe it's old (could be wrong ?).

I was working a demo area by me where they tore down some homes built between WWI - WWII, so I figured there had to be some silver there. I found that the first area I started working was producing coins from the late 1960's - mid 1970's. Then I moved to another area and started finding the zincs, OK, that's going the wrong direction. Then I spied where they tore out a patch of sidewalk, which was sanded underneath, and that's the area I found the Wheaties and the Merc.

I'm going back tomorrow with the 6" coil (lots of trash here) to see how I do. The C$ wasn't too stable with the 8" (electrical interference, and could hardly GB), so I ended up running it at SENS = 3 and THRESH = -30, probably killed any depth at these settings, but looks like there's no choice. Maybe I can bump the SENS up with the 6" coil and get a bit more depth, and definitely slice through the trash better then the 8".

With the small coil you can run a lot hotter and you will be happy with the depth. The more you use the CoinStrike the more you will love it.

The C$ is a very quirky machine, but can be very good once mastered. I found some of my best treasures ever with mine, & it was named right...it loves at that 7 khz. It threw everyone for a loop at first, especially CZ users. It has threshold that was not like grampas threshold, but more like a 2nd sensitivity. Wierd number system (not like the typical 0-99). Weak touch pads w. arrows that seem the opposite of what direction you wanna go, hot rocks read 51, the preset was too hot (should have been 5,25 like I said all along) ;) But it is what it is. Once you figure all that out & utilize the 3 coils choices for different sites your golden. I keep mine in the car with the small coil on it now as it's still great at nailing little coins & brass in iron.........sometimes in thick iron you can just watch the screen & see a + number sneak into a string of negatives....this is a cool way to locate masked items sometimes. Not fool proof, but even worth digging if it works 50% of the time.....

Bill you forgot that the notching is also azz backwards, a block on the notched article actually means it's not notched :poke:

I'm getting a pretty good grip on it's quirkiness. I can fly threw configuring all of the options at ease, no problems there. I love the 6" coil (it's the 6" ID Edge coil) and the 8" coil, pinpointing is a breeze with this machine and the depth indicator is good once you figure it out. I haven't quite figured out when to use the 10" Spider coil, maybe in a wide open field with no trash, or very dry sand hunting with little to no trash.

OK, I'm off to find my fortune today...will post my goodies later.
