My pond finds

BadaBing

New member
Found my first merc dime and some other stuff at a local pond which has dried out a bit. Really pumped about the dime though. I'm new at this as you can tell. Can anyone give me some info on how old those bullets may be ?

Ms. Mercury, one of my favorite coins. I'd be pumped up also. I can't tell you anything about the bullets. I can see one wheat penny too. I'd go back and work that pond some more. Don't leave any stone un-turned.

Just disc out the low iron and dig everything. You've done good! It looks like you hit about all the target fields - coins, jewelry and relics. That one projectile that's white looks like a .22 cal. The dark one next to it looks like a bullet sinker used with a plastic worm for fishing. Is there a hole all the way through it?

Nice job on the mercury dime! It's amazing how many bullets I found at the local half-dried up pond nearby. All kinds of calibers. I should start a bullet-specific collection.

Its deffinatly not a bullet sinker, no hole in it. I think I might have found every fishing sinker in the pond. I think its made of eather brass or lead and there is markings on it from the gun barrell.

Very cool! I know there are sites on just bullets. Post the picture on some relic forums and someone will know what it's from.
