My pitiful offerings from yesterday..

Went to a park I haven't been to in years and pulled most of these out of bark chips that were over 16 inches deep. Some of these quarters were down ten inches and only gave a slight hum in pinpoint with the Feller. As I started a hole the signal got louder and crisper.

From the land of the Bluenose..nothing pitiful about that. You got out, were able to do it and in great health...to do it again on the next day. Dig and they will come! Happy hunting me bouy!

At least you were able to get out and swing (too danged hot here) and BTW, ain't nothing wrong with a pouch full of clad. Keep 'er swingin'!!

Can you give a little more detail of how you found them? What mode were you hunitng in? I am impressed with the depth you are gettign with your 250....WOW.

Hunting in coins mode scanning slow and with sensitivity at about 60%. Don't get much of a signal at that depth but enough to know a coin is down there. When hitting pinpoint I would just get a low hum until I started a hole then the signal would get louder and crisper. You can also whip the coil back and forth over a target and get a little more depth and a crisper signal. It's tricky but used to do it with Tesoros many years ago. Also the bark chips here stay damp to wet at depth which improves depth and detection.

I like the little token at the top...What's it say? I have trouble reading writing let alone upside down! JIM

Yeah and it's a lousy pic of it to boot. It's a Burgerville token-one of our fast food chains. I have a jar full of tokens of every kind.
