My PI's Secret Defense Weapon

Sven

Well-known member
So I just finished up building my latest PI, built a nice compact battery box that houses a 4500mah Lithium-ion rechargeable battery.
I added a battery on indicator LED. Didn't think anything of it until I turned on the battery switch. Was at the part of the basement where the lights were dim.
Alrighty then!!! The LED works too well. Not noticable in the daylight, sure do notice in the dark. The LED is bright, bright enough to light up the ground your hunting.
And if you want to ruin some one's night vision, really bad. Blind them with light, guaranteed to leave bright spots in thier eyeballs.

Looks neat Sven,

You sure have talent when it comes to building neat gadgets with your hands, must be from the skills your aquired from ship building.

Excellent workmanship, well done she's a beauty.

One question, What is the uS on the pi? 10,15, 17?

Used to tinker with Pi's, still have a soft spot for them always enjoyed using them.

Take care,

Sven, some real fine handy work. One to be proud of, thanks for sharing................Joe

Thanks Sven,

That is really neat adjustable from 10-90us, plus the ellipcial coil is prefect for small targets you've got a jewel there.

Well done

Sven, if you don't mind me asking, how much money do you think you have invested in this project? How difficult is it to build? I have basicaly no experience, but want to learn more about the repair and or building of detectors. would really like to start with a PI unit.

Sven, you make a damn sexy machine. I would buy one in a heartbeat if you were to sell one ;)

Hi tiger ned, is this the tiger ned i knew from up north and we hunted together up their, i use to be Harold in R.I , good to see you on the forum if this is you.

Sven, thats a very nice detector that you have built as others have mentioned a genius with electronics and perfectionist in building detectors,i am just about to attempt to build myself a coil for my Pulse machine its based on 8inch cases that i have just bought this morning not sure what i have let myself in for but will give it a go.

Have a very basic idea and i can use a soldering iron the rest will have to come from actually building one and learning the hard way.
