Well, not bad, but I still have lots of work to do. Those pennies sure add up.

How many pennies to buy a gold coin. I like that idea.

It takes at least 4,ooo pennies ($40.00) to get a gold coin, usually about 1/10 ounce. But, there is a lot of variety out there. Not all gold coins are 999.9% gold, so it is a lot of fun shopping. :)

Thanks, I like the idea. I might just do that with my found money. I have about $75 since May (when I got my detector) in mixed coins.

Looks like my pile, although I have jars and cans of pennies all over the house that need to be tumbled. Keep working on it and that gold coin will appear. Also, what are gold coins costing now?

Bill

Thanks. Do you get them online or thru a coin dealer?

And if I remember correctly, it was just under $50.00.
