In my part of the world, it gets cold,,,,,and I mean darn cold! Sometimes as cold as - 40. I am not looking for sympathy, however, this hobby probably affects all of us and we all get spin-offs into different directions. We are all coin collectors, relic collectors to some degree.

I like to photograph wildlife in the winter. I take my machines out, put some seeds om them , hide and start shooting. Below are some of my shots:

Yea, I like the chirpers too.. That's why I would prefer to be up in OK at my mini farm,
vs here in the cement jungle. There is a huge number of migrating birds that
fly over that area every year. Go in the spring, and a zillion birds flitting about.
Last year about 65% of them were cardinals. I like those red birds..
They were thick like mosquitoes last year. Sometimes I'll see tropical looking
birds, so obviously a lot of those are coming up from Mexico, central America,
etc.. Also have the various 4 legged varmits to eyeball. Even deer, etc..
I don't really hunt much at all any more, so they are fairly safe if they stumble
across my place. In fact, I posted signs on my gate last time to try to keep
hunters out.
