My opinion on the 1270 with 10-1/2" coil.

This set-up is awesome in my test garden I have a 6" mercury dime a 8".58 caliber enfield CW bullet, and a 10" .69 caliber CW bullet. The 8" coil would get the dime and barely chirp on the 8" bullet nothing on the 10" bullet. I put the 10-1/2" coil on and it sings off solid on the dime and 8" bullet but on the 10" bullet it would sound off but not solid this was in normal mode. But using the Ground balance as disc1 and iron disc as disc 2 dial set at 8 the 10" bullet gave a solid signal and when I'd flip the trigger forward it would give a repeatable beep. Come on fall and winter I can't wait to hit the relic woods! Only complaint about this set-up is the weight but a home made detecting sling takes care of that problem.
