Went out today for about 2 hrs up a creek near here that had some old mining settlements in the late 1800/s early 1900s. Found about .60 cents, a belt buckle(kids/junk) and a 1910 wheat penny!! its by far the oldest ive found, and also found a1976 canadian new penny. All the other change was 65 and newer.

Congratulations.......Its a great feeling..

I found my oldest just last week.....1247 Henry III silver Half penny (hammered)..size of your little finger nail........:)

Nice find. Sounds like a good place to relic hunt.

Wonderfull find. I dont have that kind of history to find here. I wish i was into relic/historical hunting when i was in the u.s. army in w.germany from 1986 to 90, but i was young. In central oregon, the first non-native people settled here in the 1860's. So to find a coin so old is a treat. Thanks for the reply, im envious. Scott

Yours is still an excellent find and you should be very proud..

But, just to make things worse for you (in a very friendly way)
