Howdy everyone,

I have a Grand Master Hunter II that I think is at least 25 years old. We were at Henderson Beach Park (Deston, Fl.) last week and I got the MD out and went down to the beach. I have never used this unit on a beach before so was not sure if it would even work. I just turned it on and went to hunting in the wet sand. The unit just went crazy in the wet sand. Hunted for about 25 minutes with out anything lots of noise but no good targets. Remember reading many years ago that wet sand was hard to work so I went to dry sand and hunted back towards the beach walkway. Bing Bing the Grand Master goes off and I dig up a 1978 Liberty dime. Hey this thing still works. Now I am excited. I keep working the high weed line and find a 1959,1972,1980 penny and at the beach entrance find two of the new quarters. All this in less than hour with the old machine. I guess I am hooked again.

Question for the pros.

Is there any way this old unit would work wet sand?

Thanks and HH
Wayne
