My night light and silver

Decided the other day that I was going to try a little night hunting. I found this little headlight at the local hardware store here, mounted it with velcro, so far it has worked great. I did a quick 1 hour hunt with it and found this silver ring. It was pretty cool seeing the shine of the ring at night. I'll have to try that again sometime soon.

Very nice rings! That's a big chunk of silver! I like the way you mounted the light on your MXT. Cool idea. I don't night hunt, but I bet many others do. HH, Nancy

Real nice find.Really like that night lite could use that on all my white machines .What size battery does that light take? Thanks

I found it at the hardware store. It is made by Garrity. It uses small flat watch batteries. They say the batts last 30 hours. It works great, plenty of light. It has 3 small led lights. The only problem I have noticed is.....I have to put a light on display also and still can't see what I dug without a light. The light originally had a strap on it to wear around your head. Cost me $12 here, so it would be around $7 in the states.

Thanks i like it on the mxt but on my xlt i have a back light for screen built in but would like a light like that to shine on ground. Thanks for info.

That is some good light on the ground! (Gonna have to use the magic of google.) Thanks for the report on that!

Here is the link to there site. I have seen these at Lowes, Home Depot and other local hardware stores.

You can buy this light in the fishing section of a WalMarts store. We use them for night fishing for catfish in Lake Huron in the summer......jim

I bought a light to wear on your head it works great. Its a bit pricey uses tripple aas but last for ever. Its also very bright and is great for night hunting. Costs like 24.99 at sport chalet

CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP LIGHT

Walmart has in their flashlight dept has round quarter size led with a hinge hat clip that just fits on the back center of the display with Velcro and can be hinged up or down to hit where you want it and the best part it's $4.88. It mounts just like the in the pictures of the first post, batteries last 30+ hours and can be bought at most flea markets for $1 for five. After mounting it on my DFX all my MD buddies have them now. Plus at the price I keep one on my hat to help dig on the early morning beach hunts.
