Just to share my progress. The red switch is on/off power and the yellow is the on/off meter light.I have been using thumb screws this one has regular Phillips screws.Back photo has the port plug off forgot to put on.Thanks Ron

Hi Ron,

This is a very nice setup you have. You perform extremely nice work on the meters you build. Sweet with the backlight for low light conditions. Help me to understand how this would connect to the coil connector and the main control box. I really need a visual (even if it is a drawing ) to see how it operates. Thanks - Jim

That is a nice setup! Thanks for posting the pic- now I understand.

Ron, is the yellow box on the detector for a pinpoint probe or is it part of your meter setup?

Lsm,the yellow box is the S-1 probe box.The box is set in front of my handle to enable a flip of the switch to turn on your probe. The S-1 in line probe is one of the biggest improvements for a Sovereign.HH Ron

Jim,made this short extension for Chuck. These pictures should give a good example to explain the setup. The power inlet in the box does eliminate the extension cord and is cleaner notice in the one photo with the cord just going to the box and meter..Thanks Ron

Hi Ron,

Thank you sharing & for taking the time to post the pictorial of your meter setup. You perform really nice work. - Jim

Jim, I appreciate your compliment, and believe these meters are a good product.A lot of effort went to get the details right. Quality is everything though one lose wire could undo the customer enthusiasm.Any of these built I'll fix at my expense. This one has already been shipped out to the buyer. Thanks Ron

Hi Ron,

You will do well with these meters. The warrantee can't be beat and I agree: you certainly do put a lot of effort into these meters. Nice and neat. A loose wire can happen on any of the meters that were made for the sovereigns. Look at what happened to mine this summer. I certainly lost my enthusiam lol I love my meter and is so neccessary with my hearing situation. However, after listing my problem here on findmall a bunch of you came to the rescue to help out a fellow detectorist and I was back in action in no time. - Jim
