My next project (pinpointers) and a pic of my mod'd Cibola

I ordered one of these pinpointers and got 2 for 1...haven't taken them to the dirt yet, but the air tests are good.

My plan is to encapsulate them.....not sure how yet.....maybe a silicone / plasticoat wrap.....I'll prob look at radio shack for cheap 9v holders....total build cost should be under $10 total for both of them.

Here's my cibola with Ground balance..I just finished it today by adding hand made (dremeled) black plastic washers (one under the knob and one under the housing)....the pinpoint button has been converted to a toggle switch under the handle. The Gb knob was $2 ...I can easily use just my thumb to Gb..

Is that a toggle switch under the control box?.The two pinpoint button wires will give you all-metal so you can G/B right? Then you will not have to power-balance.Oh i see it.What you said.It worked! you are the first i have seen with a all-metal Cibola!:clapping:
Good job Tim. Why would you think that you would power balance a detector that had a threshold base all metal mode.

Monte said Tesoros can be be slightly more positive in discriminate mode than All metal mode....So I tried the power balance thinking it'd be easier to do.........I ended up just using the All metal mode anyways
