Here is my new addition to my family, a sea Hunter Mark II. A water machine, but I will use it on land too! If snow is water and water is snow......well, it could be called a snow machine. :) Also, it just might breath a little life into those hunted out lakes and woods. My goals have somewhat already been thought out with this machine. If the targets are there, and a little bit of luck, I just might find a keeper or two. And I will always take along another machine, just to make sure that I have all the tools I need to get those extra couple of finds......

Just look at that face below.......a beauty, eh! ;)

I own 3 of those units and let me tell you, they are treasure finding machines. Have found plenty of gold & silver jewelry items with them in the surf here in Texas. The only drawback that you may stuggle with is that there is no discrimination. If you're lake is trashy, as most are then you will find TONS of nails. In amongst those nails is treasure and you will need a stong back, a long handled stainless scoop and much patience. Good luck! Don't usually post on this forum, but on the beach & water hunting forum. Have never owned anything but a Garrett (GTA 1000, GTAX550, GTI1500, 3 Mark II's, 3 Ace 250's), but I just bought an Excal 1000 for some disc in the surf. Guess I finally defected.

Very nice John....I was wondering about getting one of those myself. My local Garret distributor uses it and said he stopped using his land machines ever since. Swears its an excellent machine and loves jewelery....can't wait to see your photos.Do you have a floating screen platform yet?

Cheers!

It's a lot different than my other Garrett, but I like it. I've owned a Sea Hunter Mk II for about a year and only have used it on the local beaches here. You'll find a lot of trash but persistence pays off as I've found some coins and other interesting finds. Never heard of anyone using one in the snow though -- I hope it works!
