My new Vaquero is Here!!

Well today around 4:00 my Vaquero came in. I proceeded to put it together and try it out, Very light and easy to swing. I had my Minelab out in the yard with me also. I had done a GB on the Vaquero and was testing it on some coins. I like it. Hits good on targets. I had a hit between 2 coins I had put on the ground. I dug it. My 1st find on the Vaquero, a very nice shiny piece of foil! I am very happy to get it. The dealer did me right he threw in a free pair of headphones, and a nice digger, Beale.

Glad your V came in. Now you got to get out and see how you like it.

I've been using mine a lot sense it came in.

I really like mine.

The worst thing about the V is those purple stickers on the side.

No problem. I can't even see it while I'm MDing.

The V is a good basic unit. Lightweight and capable.
Id like to hear how it compares to your Minelab.

Foil is encouraging!

At least that's what I tell myself!

If I can find foil, for sure I wouldn't miss gold if the coil passed over it.

now that you have had it for a day what have you found? Just kidding... How are you getting along with it? I'm with David and am curious how you will (notice I said will meaning in the near future) compare it to the Minelab. Although they are dissimilar I would be curious.

My brother got a chance to see my V work this past week. He recently sold his DFX and told me his next machine is definitely going to be a Tesoro and he has been a White's guy for over 25 years!!!!

Hey Pap and David thanks for asking. I hit a tot lot on 3/22 and was in one tot lot for 3 hours. With the X-70 this would have been a hour hunt, maybe. With the V I was not ignoring iffy signals or poor ID numbers.

I enjoyed using the V very much. I will continue to use it alone for a while to see how I do. I am very happy with the results of the 1st hunt, Beale.
