My new V3i showed up today

I tried the V3 when it first came out, and although I was thrilled with the unit in many ways I ran into lots of EMI issues in my area due to buried powerlines in most public areas like parks and schoolyards. Finally I just went back to my DFX. Then the last couple summers at Ganes Creek , Alaska I was with a guy named Marco who did extremely well with the V3i hunting gold nuggets. EMI was of course not an issue in the middle of nowehere Alaska and it reminded me that the 22.5 kHz single frequency mode on the V3i is hotter than that on many dedicated nugget detectors. So I decided it was time to revisit the V3i to see if I could work around the EMI issues locally and do some large nugget testing with it.

Anyway, I thought I was out of luck for the weekend but it just showed up and the battery is charging so looks like a little extra fun in store for the weekend!
