My new SE was talking to me, but

I just couldn't get her to find me any silver coins. My buddy Lee and I went over to a local park yesterday and I thought it would be a good place to give my SE a good workout. The only thing that got a good workout was me as I was digging just about everything and dug my share of pull-tabs hoping maybe to sniff out a gold ring, but no such luck. I did manage to find two silver rings and a little frog that is pewter I think. Lee kicked my butt on silver coins this time even if it was only one 1941 merc and he got two or three wheaties to my zero.:nopity: The day started off with a little rain on the ferry ride across the water, but then it cleared up a little bit and we stayed dry till about 2:30 and then it really started to come down and we decided to call it a day. I got $6.50 in clad and a good six more hours on my SE and as always it wasn't a total loss as it's still nice to be able to get out and share this great hobby with a good buddy. And Bryce, no I haven't given up detecting for the year. We can put up with a little rain and as long as it doesn't snow or freeze the ground like cement we'll still be able to get out and swing a coil. Thanks for looking and HH to the rest of you fellows who can still get out.

Eddie

Darn good finds. Not bad in clad either. Your clad totals must be looking pretty good. It sure pays for equipment at the end of the year. Those rings are always nice to find.... to bad you didnt get any gold, sounds like you tried. Those things are hard to come by especially in a park.

Dew

Good hunt Eddie.......it's always great to find rings. Keep trying the low tones, gold will show up for you.

John

Nice finds Eddie.

Hunting with a good friend more than makes up for any amount of silver coinage.

Good job on fightin' the weather...and a nice post.

WTG Eddie. I love those rings.

Those are some real nice rings and a nice haul in clad!

silver rings is still silver nice finds good hunt north east kingdom of norther vt snowed in and cold snoopys resting for now hope for a january thaw

Silver rings are nothing to sneeze at Ed, I find very little jewelry and hope that every iffy quarter signal might be a ring. Keep at it bud.

Eddie, I'm having a hard time finding the rings, but I'm knee deep in silver coinage lately.

We're getting a ton (and I mean a ton) of rain here in S. Cal....the most I could ever remember this time of year. I had all the best intentions of detecting this morning for a couple of hours....no sooner did I attached my lesche digger sheath to my belt this morning, the rain started falling..... I can typically hunt all year long, but right now, I'm staying indoors til the cats and dogs stop falling!!

Thanks for sharing your outing!!

HH,

Thanks Dan. I know you guys are getting a ton of rain and they say that Washington state gets all the rain!!!! Those silver rings rang in loud and clear and now it's just a matter of time and those silver coins will start ringing in I hope. What's it like to be knee deep in silver coins? Hope the rain lets up and you can get out again real soon. GL & HH.

Eddie

Thanks Dave. Between the weather back there and you working your butt off. I take it that you haven't been out much. Maybe the weather will break for you and you can get out again soon. HH.

Eddie

Thanks Bryce. Yep, it's nice to detect with a buddy and there is no price tag big enough for the gift of being able to share such a great hobby. Hope you can get out again soon if the weather clears up for you. Maybe you can give Dave another lesson. HH.

Eddie

Thanks John. I've gotten my share of gold jewlery since I have been detecting, but there is always room for a couple more rings and etc.:clapping: HH.

Eddie

Thanks Dew. I have found just about all of my gold and silver rings in parks and play ground areas. It's just amazing to me how so many people can lose their rings.:clapping: I kind of wish now that I would have kept track of all the clad coins that I have found in the eight years that I have been detecting. I can't even begin to guess what my total would have been, but you are right that it helps pay for the equipment at the end of the year. HH.
