my new guitar;a BIG hit at church-In fact...

...It got more applause than I did-the pastor thanked me for the music,then said"How about that new guitar of Steve's??Sounds great,doesnt it?"THATS when the applause broke out...Anyway,one of the men that attends church told me "you were GREAT today-sound just like Johnny Cash"....I told him a very poor imitation,anyway...I got to practice with a fellow woman parishioner after service....We are doing "BATTLE HYMN OF THE REPUBLIC"for our 50th anniversary on November 12th,This woman has a GREAT voice,and I will accompany her on the 6-string...On a more serious note;I was talking to another woman that attends our church for about 2 years now-married,3 kids...Somehow,the topic of conversation turned on her end toward her and her husbands personal physical life;...If ya know what I mean,and I know you do;without having me spell it out...Adult movie watching;pre-marriage relations-the whole nine yards...Let me tell ya,alarm bells started going off in my head;and I tried to steer the conversation away from it,but she kept going back to it...I finally told her"WELL,I GOTTA GO-TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF"and out of the room I went...I dont know if she is fishing for a new catch or not;but let me tell ya-that kind of conversation has its place,all right-BETWEEN 2 PEOPLE MARRIED TO EACH OTHER;AND NOT IN CHURCH BETWEEN 2 CASUAL ACQUAINTANCES...Well;I told my wife,and she was not too thrilled when I told her what she was talking about-I believe the Holy Spirit was causing me to get 'bad vibes'from her;And,as the Word says;"FLEE FROM EVIL"...

[attachment 36061 2107742273.jpg]Hey Dogface, When I played the drums for the worship band at church, a few years ago, alot of strange things would happen to me as well. People, including women, would try to get a little to friendly and for some reason, it was usually the married ones. The best thing to do is exactly what you did, cut it short and pray for that person. The enemy wants to distroy what God is building within you, your family and within the Church. Praise and Worship is a good part of the church and that is what you help people to do. And remember, if you resist the devil he will flee. P.S. Does the Church ever record the music and sermons? for sure and I believe she was seeking it the best way she knew how..even your pastor might be able to help her or find someone for her to talk to concerning her terrible situation! I've been there and what she's going through is awful and stressful on her and the children! But you shouldn't get involved and have people talking although it would all be done in innocense! Too many even in the church like to gossip and start trouble! Remember, satan likes to divide churches and is the destroyer of families and children! I will pray for her because she needs it badly!

it's probably not a false alarm I know that when I feel "uncomfortable" with a situation, there's a darn good reason. I've been in a couple of weird situations over the years especially when I was in the band. Like you, I'm good at running away
