My new Deleon is here!

Just got my new DeLeon in the mail today, we have about 4 or 5 inches of snow and can't test it out. But from playing with it inside my house I think it will be a good unit. It is cool how it came determine a zinc penny from a copper penny. Only complaint & not really a complaint is a very tiny dark spot on the face of the control, thought it was dirt but doesn't come off, plus a small bubble on the face (seems like they stick the faceplate on and didn't get it on smooth in one spot) & I can see why some people complain about the battery doors - very very poor design, c'mon Tesoro you can do better than that with those doors. Besides the little gripes I mentioned I love my Tesoro's - #1 in my book. Steve.

I might be too much of a perfectionist - although my gripes are small - it is like ordering a new car and when you get it you find a dent. Although it won't hurt the performance it sticks out like a sore thumb. I like to take top notch care of my detector and shouldn't have to start off with any blemishes, rant over!!!

Great to hear it arrived, sorry bout the snow and the blemish. If its something you can't live with you can always send it back. And dont worry bout the doors as long as the batteries are loaded right and and doors are close well u will not have a problem. I have been using mine for three yrs and have not had a problem yet. Keep us posted when you get to go digging.............................Keep looking down

Glad it came in, sorry about the blemish.

Now you have to decide whether to send it back or not. It's Winter may be it's a good time to send it back.

Any way, best of luck,

Sure is fun getting a new detector isn't it! I have a Golden and love it. Its a great coinshooter with respectable depth. I have never used a Deleon but I've heard a lot of good things about them and since it's the Golden's big brother I'm sure your going to like it.

Good luck,
Ray(Ca)

I have the first Cortes ever made and my doors are still going strong.

Congrats on the new machine! You will love it I am sure. My ground is frozen now, so my season is done for now.
