My New CZ-5

Well it took me a very long time but I finally found the machine that started it all for me.A brand new never used CZ-5.I just received it and could not believe the condition it is in.The nice lady I bought it from said it was purchased new with the hard case and just stored away.I am still in aw looking at it.You can usually tell a detectors been used by the hand grip. Not a single sign of wear on this one.I air tested it with a dime and it stayed true to form @11+ inches.Works flawlessly. This is by far my favorite detector hands down and I own 24 now.The CZ series has always amazed me with its ease of use and superior depth.I can attest to its depth because I have owned and used all high end detectors and the CZ is the deepest in my soil, excluding PI of course. The only problem I have now is I need another one because this one is just too nice to use, lol.Chalk it up to my O.C.D.I might just have to send this one out to Tom D. to work his magic on it,although I'm confident its deep enough. Now its time to get my hands on a new 1021 CZ3D.I had one years back but it was stolen. Here are some pics.HH

Drool, drool.

CZ-5 is my favorite of the CZ series, and they were calibrated using the original Dave J. (pre-Cimino) procedure. Can't believe you found one brand new never used, yes! there is a Santa Claus!

Thanks for the pix, DC, brings back fond memories.

Well I am truly honored you replied to my post.Your CZ design is what got me hooked on this hobby.I have been looking for years for another unused CZ-5(didn't think I would find one)I had an original Los Banos 3D back in the day but it was stolen. Now the search is on for a new unused Los Banos 3D.If I can find a new CZ-5 I'm pretty confident I can find and original 3D.I run all the top end detectors but the CZ's are the best coin shooters I have ever used. Thanks Dave for designing such and incredible line of detectors. You Da Man!!!!!!

Super nice find, and it parallels what just happened to me! I had a Fisher Coinstrike way back, and let it go. What did I just find recently? A brand new, never out of the box Los Banos Fisher Coinstrike!! Absolutely pristine and just as it left the factory! I am so lucky, so I know how you feel. A lot of people didn't appreciate or understand the Coinstrike, but it was one awesome machine when you understood how to use it. Merry Christmas and great job finding that CZ!

They are one in the same actually. This one is the first CZ5 with the lower white pole, metal arm support and 5 digit serial #.It goes deep.To this day IMO there is no better coin shooter than the CZ.My house is from the 1880s and I have been pounding it for years with more than 20 top of the line detectors.Just today on Christmas(in the 60's here)pulled out 3 more wheaties another Indian and a dog tag.My yard has given up 28(oldest being 1891 seated dime) silvers now more than 40 wheats and today my 13th Indian. The CZ5 does it again.I got my first CZ5 in late 92 and used it hard for 10+ years before it died. Then I went to the CZ3D and I loved it but I liked the CZ5 better.I just became one with that detector.Nails are no problem for me.I don't dig them much. You just know when its going to be a coin.I like volume modulation, it lets you know when its deep.If its really deep and bounces a little,DIG it!The CZ's are THE best kept secret.HH and by the way don't ever give up your CZ…………..I know I won't!
