My new Cellar hole hunt video. Button paradise!

Deep in the woods of New England, I stumble across an old home site, that by which the evidence thus found, was once occupied by British farmers. Armed with my SE Pro, I begin to uncover what lay buried for centuries...

You can't ask for a much better coinless hunt than that :beers: Nice job.

Nice buttone for sure WTG :clapping:

Any id on the fourth down first vertical row??

It's a one piece flat button, missing the shank, with a wreath pattern and a crown. The crown is an indicator of Britain.

Any id as far as time frame of origin/manufacture?
Thanks for the response.

Well, I have found similar buttons before, with crowns and wreaths, but never together.

I know the cellar hole was an old stage coach stop, so it could be anywhere from 1800-1850. Of course I am only guessing.

do you think that a seamtrist lived there? buttons and thimbles

My Mother had the same idea. I usually find thimbles at every old site I visit. Would make sense with all those buttons... and people constantly losing them!
