My new camera arrived today and I am totally confused...............

My Nikon Coolpix 5700 Digital Camera arrived today, and I am totally confused on how to make it work.
I have been using a Sony Mavica digital camera, model #MVC-FD88 with 1.3 Mega Pixels. This old camera is very easy to use, just point and shoot. This new camera has lots of controls, and reading the owners manual has not been fun...just added to the confusion. A few minutes ago, I put it back into the box and will wait until tomorrow to again attempt to learn how to use it. Must say, training a horse is easier than learning how to make one of these cameras work! I sure have renewed appreciation and respect for RM and his chosen profession. Please have a great day! Kelley,
Be patient. Don't try to learn all about the camera overnight. Take it one feature at a time.

I started fresh this morning and think I now have a handle on the basics. This digital camera is different than my film cameras, and it was confusing at first. I should be posting a picture in a day or two. Again, thank you! Please have a great day! Kelley (Texas) <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
