My new boat and water pump

Water wizard

New member
Hi guys,
I've bought a new boat to use for underwater treasure hunting this winter. I've also given up on the prop wash idea, and bought a Water pump that pumps 600 litres a minute to shift the sand at one spot I think is very promising. I am looking to buy a second hand magnetometer as well, but they are hard to find! I have a fish finder which is useful as it shows the bottom contour very well. Anybody else on here diving from a boat or doing small scale marine salvage?

Thats some serious looking equip there! By God I'd throw in with you if the situation warrants! Nice!:buds:
Mud

That's a great looking Pirate ship!! I like the fact you can camp out for several days on your, a Big Plus....Mine is in the works, but not that BIG...I need more mobility because I want to raid different far locations in the Chesapeake Bay.

And I like the idea of a Pump.........Keep me informed on your pump..... I really think that moving sand is the trick to finding treasure anywhere.........On the prop wash I need to make a Plenum then all else will be easy.

I did end up with a Hummingbird 858c DI, but wish I had got the SI model. I plan on reworking the tranducer mount so I can do some side imaging, not sure if it will work like that but only one way to find out.

Hey W.W.! sorry we didn't connect while I was in England last month. Things popped up and the 4 weeks shot by soooo very fast. I did get out M.D.ing but beyond the regular Victorian, Edwardian coins etc;, nothing that was worth posting unfortunately! Yep, you are SERIOUS about diving and salvaging!! I'm sure I probably don't need to say this but please make sure you always take a buddy along. Mechanical failures happen to the best of us! especially diving and salvaging. Best wishes and I hope the offer still stands to visit....maybe next year? G.S.

i used to be a comercial diver and i find an airlift works much better you will loose a lots of small articles whit a jet pump.good luck in your endever,i realy like your boat.

Thanks guys, i hope that it all comes together.. You could buy one Mud with your last find! She's a slow cruiser OBN, but it was the best I could find for the money. I like the idea of a good inflatible rib, perfect for in and out dives, cover loads of area . I'm looking out for an inflatable tender that I can use as a speedy dive boat, and a safety boat when I'm at sea. I'm almost our of money now, I'm trying not to sell my gold, but it's getting close....
