Actually all I find wrong with my X-terra 70 is the poor stand(not wide enough) which causes the detector to constantly tip over...Basically used some plastic piping and two plastic 90 degree elbows and two rubber furniture leg bottoms...cut a hole in the middle and trimmed it with a file and drilled a hole in the bottom for the bolt that goes thru rod to top of armrest. Had to get a two inch bolt from a hardware store to replace the one inch bolt and now wouldn't tip over even in a hurricane. Painted it black to fit in with the unit and rather cheaply have a stand that looks like it came from the factory..I know I have seen some high ones that clamp onto the rod, but this one is about 2 inches high and wide enough to make it extremely stable and not interfer with my swing or deter the units overall cosmetic look...
Wish I had the ability to offer a picture and hope you all get the idea as it makes a perfect stand and a good detector even better..
