My Minelab Excalibur Update !

mtpockets

New member
The Ups truck arrived

and Delivered a New Excal II Complete to me..

and It Turned on too :icon_sunny: I'm Very happy how this turned out.. I didn't have to wait another 3 months for my machine to be fixed again..

I think in Total my machine has spent 8 months in the minelab service dept between 3 trips.

This was it 4th and Final trip.. and when talking with Ewout he asked if I would be OK with swapping it out with a New Excal..

I said I think that, that would most likely be the best thing to do. Instead of
opening up her again for surgery..

This Excal II is different than the Other one that I have..

It says "Sub-Aqua" across where the Sensitivity numbers are...

May be a way to distinguish which machine's that were made in Malaysia..

just a guess..

She Turned on... **Phew** I took her to the work bench and just quickly
placed a few items on the Bench to check the tones...

Quarter, Penny, Nickel, Dime, Gold Ring....

All sounds were different and distinct.. I'll take her on her Maiden voyage this weekend to test her out thoroughly.

Last week.. I also received a Package from Minelab inside was what they call "Goodies"

Their was a.

Hat, water bottle, compass, mag light, and backpack..

Thank You.

Good to hear. Maybe they've finally figured out that the current staff is not capable of fixing them......or maybe they're tired of all the negative internet chatter.....or both.

I knew it! They did the right thing JMHO. I'm happy for you MT.

I took mine (sub aqua) out to the beach yesterday for a test run. Didn't find anything good but did find some old, junk tabs and the machine worked great.

Glad to hear that you're back in business with the Excalibur.

HH, Crispy

I surely hope your problems are over MT. There is not a better machine out there when they are operating like they are supposed to. Keep us posted and HH :minelab:

Great news MT! Too bad Minelab let it get to this point, but hopefully you're new one will be good from here on out. Let us know how you do over the weekend.
