My mind is made up, Gt it is

gear box

New member
I have made up my mind. I will be buying a new GT. Winter is about here so I will wait a little while yet. I will be soon putting my XLT on the forum for sale. I want to thank all the good people here who helped me make up my mind. I have been taking a lot of note's on the different thing's the experienced people have posted and all the question's the newbies have asked also helped me. A lot is basic but being new to the GT it mean's something to me. I will also be buying a couple books on the GT. There has been so much good info here that sometimes I feel I have an inside edge already. A question though.. When I am ready to buy I would like to buy just the machine and a small coil. Possibly a sunray probe or 180 meter. I really don't want all that extra stuff you get from Kellyco. Do any of you have any input on that? I haven't talked to the dealer that I got my XLT from yet, they also sell Minelab's. Thank's again I'll be back. Good hunting.

Some of the freebies are ok, but some of it..........you will never use or find that you need something better.

Get with one of the sponsors here and get what you want.
They won't push you to buy junk or something you don't want or need.
You probably have a good digger and a finds/trash bag. You won't need much more than the detector.

if you want to get a GT, go to Dixie Detectors. Then give David a call, He will treat you right. Here is the link, he's also a find mall sponsor. Good Luck.

You made a perfect choice in a detector Gearbox. Dont ever doubt it.
congrats on your new GT

The meter and hope you like tones...double D coil may take a bit to get used to pinpointing as Whites VCO is a super pinpointing plus..With practice should be able to master and usually pinpoint in disc but many like the Sunray probe....so your call...Going to luv the user friendly after the XLT for sure..

Thank's for the input guy's. I'm really getting excited about getting out to some of the place's where I have found some good old coin's. To bad winter is setting in. I'm looking forward to the tone's and a more relaxing speed of hunting. I will get some sort of 8 inch coil with it. I'm thinking of a tornado or a coinsearch if I can find one. Thanks again and good hunting. Gary
