Any Xterra cover will work. Just cut the holes for the knobs, coil plug and a little for the headphone jack. You can singe the black cloth where you cut it to keep it from fraying out...........MO

the pots do not have nut's behind the knobs they just stick through the face and if water get's behind there and hit's that board ...I believe there will be problems...thats why I like the under screen ones being manufactured by Daryl..they are being improved and are the only way I see to insure some sort of blanket against water entering your machine....

I sweat alot in the summer and I have been using a ziplock till I got Daryl's design I wasnt worried about getting caught in a rainstorm as much as I did not want salty sweat running down behind the knob's and shorting the board out...because I sweated dead on the screen ALOT!!!

Just something to think about...but ti does look nice...First Ought to know a Gold Machine is going to be used in a creek and at least offer some sort of weather beater package..

But nice mod!!!

If it works for you and offers piece of mind then:thumbup:

Well, I have never been one to hunt in the rain. Mainly because I hate digging in the mud and really trashing my machine up with it. I just like to have the touch pad and the screen protected from normal digging and dust.................MO

I agree with Kieth. Its a machine used around creeks. Either a good cover should have been designed to protect it from water, or, maybe it should have been designed to withstand a drop of water??? My two bits. I spent a lot of money on mine and I don't want to be stress out about what will happen if it gets some moisture on it.
