A co-worker came to me a couple of days ago and said his cousin had lost a wedding band in his yard and asked if I could help find it for him.
I told him I would try and went out after work this afternoon and met with the owner who told me he was shaking his hands to dry them off and the ring slipped off and went into the yard somewhere.
He had a pretty good idea which way it went and where he was standing at the time and I got the Vaquero out, ground balanced it, set the disc. to minimum and off I went.
After about 10 minutes, I got a nice signal and low and behold, there was the ring!!
Needless to say, the owner was surprised and very happy to get the ring back.
After that, I stopped by a local swimming lake and searched around the beach and had a pretty good hunt there finding a lot of clad.
This was my third attempt at searching for a lost ring and the only successful one of the three.
Now I know what it feels like to return a lost item to its owner.. what a great hobby!!
Thanks for looking,
Felix
