Nice work! How does the SAT knob affect the sound of targets, does it help at all in distinguishing target sounds?
Do you plan on adding a tone feature?
SAT controls the speed that the audio will return to the threshold setting if you stop over a target. Similar to a nonmotion and motion machine in VLF terms.
Min SAT works like non motion. Fast SAT work like a motion.
The way SAT is used.
FAST SAT: setting is best used when hunting areas with varying mineralization. Tunes out targets and mineralization so to speak. Using Fast SAT is not good for hunting small gold targets, they will be tuned out.
SLOW SAT: is best when hunting in low mineralization areas and produces max depth on small targets. Since it is now a non motion machine at this seeting, it also helps for very precise pinpointing. The Pinpoint switch actually switches the SAT pot to min.. So you don't even have to adjust the control pot to min. just flip the Pinpoint toggle.
The slower the SAT the slower your swing speed should be.
Slow SAT also allows the PI circuitry to sample small gold targets longer to report back to the hunter he has found small gold.
I found when jewelry and coin hunting 65-75% adjustment setting is perfect. You can sweep a bit faster and its still easy to pinpoint without using the Pinpoint toggle switch.
It's a single tone machine, you don't need multi tones. You can tell slight variences of target sounds once you put in about 40 hours of hunting. You generally know if it's a junk target
similar to a single tone VLF. This is a VCO type PI. Threshold and audio frequency shifts depending upon depth and target size.
I quickly made a so-so video in the basement for a fellow to show him what the audio was like. I haven't made a new video yet, but you can see the ones I did make on YouTube

I am not going to make any crazy depth performance etc. claims or hype it up. All I will say, it's a sweet performing machine for what it was built for. And I wouldn't mind entering a trashy small tin foil park beach or an area with iron with the 7" coil to hunt that would scare others away. It was built to find small gold jewelry and nuggets that VLF machines miss
without having to dig bitty foil..........
I use my water version for the beaches, only trouble since moving, the beach is no longer a 2 minute walk away. It's long drive...........
