My last morning at this beach until the next visit.

Well, this is the last day I will be visiting my second oldest son. It's back to PA tomorrow morning.
My final trip to the beach brought my clad total to $25.60. Since I'm new to the SE, (had it since the weekend after Thanksgiving) I am very pleased with my take! Dry sanding really gave me the chance to learn to pinpoint a target by watching the "dig" bar and listening to the tone. I had been a bit discouraged with the stock coil until now because It was tough for me to tell exactly where to dig on a grassy lawn. I had been using my 5" Excelerator.
Now when I get back home, I should have a good handle on it. I hope to be able to find some silver in my 1800s lawn after all of this practice.

Actually, I'm headed to Virginia Beach for 2 weeks starting the 4th of July.

Can't wait!

Practice makes perfect!

1800's lawn, huh? I should think so!

Yeah... I found pieces of bottles dating to the 1840s. We have 6 acres total with about 1 1/2 mowed around the house. I found one 1960s dime and a bunch of newer pennies. I have yet to find anything old. Now that the beach has honed my detecting skills somewhat maybe I'll have better fortune.

I can't wait! I'm hoping to have an Excalibur by then. If so, I'll bring both machines just in case we get to hunt a farm or fields.
